Lab work

General Information

We are able to draw labs at our office for both routine and specialty labs. There is a $30 lab draw fee if drawn at AHP Integrative Health.

For patients who live far away, we can provide a requisition form for lab orders that can be taken to local clinics or hospitals. Please check with your clinic or hospital to see if you need an appointment or if walk-in lab draws are fine. Please be aware that it is likely the lab will charge you a drawing fee.

Routine Labs:

Routine labs generally include basic lab work that would normally be done at your local hospital, Quest Diagnostics, or Labcorp. They do not include specialty labs (see next section).

Routine labs drawn at our clinic are sent to Wooster Community Hospital for processing.
If you have insurance, insurance can be billed for routine labs.
If you do not have insurance, we offer affordable self-pay pricing on laboratory work.

Specialty Labs:

Specialty labs are independent lab organizations that perform highly developed tests to achieve the best results in patient diagnosis. Specialty tests are high quality and more detailed than routine lab work. Our providers recommend these tests in order to create well-optimized treatment plans for their patients.

The specialty tests we use are listed below for your reference. During your appointments, your provider will go over associated costs of a specialty tests if one of these labs may benefit you. Most specialty tests are not accepted by insurance companies and are therefore self-pay. Many of these testing organizations will submit receipts to insurance for their consideration in reimbursing the patient. Reimbursement is the decision of your insurance company. Depending on the test and your coverage, insurances will sometimes reimburse for these services. We cannot guarantee that they will always reimburse for specialty testing.
