Lab work
General Information
We are able to draw labs at our office for both routine and specialty labs. There is a $30 fee for routine labs drawn at AHP and a $50 fee for specialty labs. Specialty labs are kits that require additional processing and shipping.
If you prefer to have your lab work done at another location, we can provide a requisition form to take to local clinics or hospitals.
Routine Labs:
Routine labs generally include basic lab work that would normally be done at your local hospital, Quest Diagnostics, or Labcorp. They do not include specialty labs (see next section).
- Routine labs drawn at our clinic are sent to Wooster Community Hospital for processing.
- If you have insurance, insurance can be billed for routine labs.
- If you do not have insurance, we offer affordable self-pay pricing on laboratory work.

IGeneX
IGeneX has been an industry leader in accurate tests for Lyme disease and associated infections for many years. Their Immunoblots are antibody tests that increase our ability to detect and accurately diagnose infections that have been missed by standard testing. This is partly due to the sensitivity of the tests, but also because they are evaluating for a wider range of infections than routine labs.
TLab
TLab offers state-of-the-art FISH (Fluorescent In-Situ Hybridization) to identify Borrelia, Bartonella, and Babesia infections. They also offer a BNR Panel that identifies Biofilms, Neutrophil Extracellular Traps, and Red Blood Cell Inclusions that give further insight into what is keeping you sick.

Genova Diagnostics is a functional medicine laboratory that we rely on for multiple tests. On of the tests we most commonly order from Genova Diagnostics is the 24-Hour Hormone Check. This is a timed saliva collection to measure the amounts of testosterone, progesterone, DHEA, estradiol, cortisol, and melatonin throughout the day.
We also use Genova for advanced food sensitivity testing, stool testing, and testing for SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth).
