Getting Started
To get set-up for a new patient appointment, please call our clinic at 330-804-7000 to schedule. Please read through this page to ensure you understand all involved with becoming a new patient.
Foundations of Health:
New patients are required to do one of our Foundations of Health programs. These programs are designed to be transparent for patients and provide an effective treatment. Patients who have done these programs before have progressed very well throughout treatment. Without the program, there is much more guess work in determining diagnoses and patients often would resort to having to do the program anyways. Because of this, the Foundations of Health programs are required to eliminate guess work and provide you with the best treatment possible.
The cost will depend on the program, but our most common programs vary from $3,350 – $4,950. Please visit our Foundations of Health page for exact pricing. This cost includes:
- Specialty laboratory testing
- 6-months worth of office appointments
- Your Nurse Intake
The Foundations of Healing is the most commonly recommended program as it will give us the best scope of your health. The Foundations of Healing is also our recommended program for tick-borne illness and lyme associated disease treatment.
Typical Treatment Schedule:
When ready to schedule, please call our clinic.
1. Nurse Intake – Your first step will be to have a nurse intake. This is a phone call appointment with one of our nurses. It happens prior to having an in-office appointment with your nurse practitioner. During this intake, your nurse will ask about your symptoms and history. Please plan to spend 25 – 45 minutes in this appointment. After the call, your nurse will review your case with our nurse practitioners. They will call you back with any supplement products and/or laboratory work recommendations for you to do before your provider appointment. If you have already done lab tests, your nurse will take that into account when ordering labs.
2. Laboratory Work – If you are recommended labs, your nurse will help to arrange an appointment to have labs drawn at our clinic. If doing a Foundations of Health program, payment will be do at this time.
3. First Appointment – We ask that you come in-person for the first appointment to be seen by our providers. They will review your medical history and go over lab work done. Together, you will make a treatment plan based on the results and the nature of your health concerns. Plan to spend 30 – 60 minutes at the clinic.
4. Follow-up Appointments – Your first follow-up appointment is about 1-2 month(s) after your initial visit. It is designed to see how you are progressing in the treatment so far. Adjustments to treatment may be made according to your needs. If treatment is going well, then follow-up appointments will be more spaced out. Most patients do follow up every 2-4 months after their first follow-up. Patients doing a foundations program will typically be seen every 1-2 months for the duration of their program.
5. Graduating from Foundations of Health (Subscription Service) – When you have finished your 6-months of the foundations program, you will either graduate from treatment or be able to continue treatment. If continuing treatment, you will pay by appointment rather than by program. There is a membership subscription service to be a patient at AHP Integrative Health after finishing your Foundations of Health program. Please visit Billing to learn more about our fee schedule.
Your Medications/Supplements/Antibiotics – We do use antibiotics and medications for treatment plans. We may recommend supplements to support your body while on treatment. Your provider will explain your personal recommendations more during your appointments. Patients may request accommodations to their needs.
Telehealth Treatment – We ask that you be seen in-person for your first provider appointment. After that, we can do follow-up appointments virtually. We do require at least one in-office appointment each year. If more are necesary, we will ask you to come to the clinic.
Treatment for Children – We do offer pediatric treatment. Pediatric patients will do treatment with Rachel Hill. Pediatric patients will follow the same process as other patients. Pediatric patients under the age of 13 will likely be recommended one of our pediatric foundations of health programs.
Reminder about Insurance
AHP Integrative Health cannot accept insurance directly. Some lab testing can be done through insurance, but all other services are due at time of appointment. Some patients take copies of their Superbill receipts to insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is the policy of your insurance company and not AHP Integrative Health. We recommend contacting your insurance before being seen to see if they will offer that service to you. We do accept HSAs, Care Credit, and Health Savings Plans. Some patients also use church fund organizations. We can submit medical bills to them as well for payment.
Out-of-State Patients
Patients who are outside the state of Ohio are required to have an in-person appointment when becoming a new patient. We are unable to place lab orders or medication orders for out-of-state patients until they have had an in-person appointment. After the initial appointment, they may do telehealth for follow-up but will be required to come into the clinic one time each year for an in-person appointment.
